Mobile Outreach Vans provide a private and secure space where Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families can meet one-on-one with a Veterans Benefits Advisor. All advisors are accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
These vans bring services directly to communities across New York State, meeting people where they live, work, and gather.
At a Mobile Outreach Van, you can get the same help you would receive at a New York State Department of Veterans’ Services office. Services include:
- Filing or appealing a VA benefits claim
- Enrolling in VA health care
- Getting help with New York State property tax exemptions
- Receiving FreshConnect Checks for use at farmers’ markets
- Getting answers to benefits questions and next steps
- Mobile Outreach Vans make it easier for Veterans, Service Members, and their families to access trusted help in a convenient and confidential setting.
