Homelessness

  • Are you currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness?

The US Department of Veterans Affairs’ programs assist thousands of homeless and at-risk Veterans each year. These programs include:

  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program, combining HUD housing vouchers with VA supportive services.
  • Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) case management and supportive services to prevent the imminent loss of a Veteran’s home or to rapidly re-house Veterans and their families who are homeless
  • Grant and Per Diem Program for state, local and tribal governments and nonprofits to receive capital grants and per diem payments to develop and operate transitional housing and/or service centers for Veterans who are homeless

To connect with housing resources, please call the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 1-877-4AID-VET.
