Gulf War Veterans

  • Did you serve on active duty anywhere in the Persian Gulf on or after August 2, 1990?
  • Do you currently suffer from symptoms such as fatigue, muscle or joint pain, headaches, skin problems, or abnormal weight loss?
  • Are doctors unable to determine the precise medical cause of those symptoms?

If the answer to these questions is “yes,” you may be eligible for disability compensation.

The VA recognizes the existence of “Gulf War Illness,” a label used to describe a Gulf War Veteran’s otherwise unexplainable medical symptoms.

To qualify, a Veteran must have served in any of the following areas: Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the neutral zone between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, the airspace above any of these countries, the Gulf of Aden, the Gulf of Oman, or the waters of the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, or the Arabian Sea.

Common symptoms of “Gulf War Illness” include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Abnormal weight loss
  • Fatigue
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Headache
  • Menstrual disorders
  • Neurological and psychological problems
  • Skin problems
  • Respiratory disorders
  • Sleep disorders

Our Veterans Benefits Advisors will gladly prepare and file your claim for disability compensation based on Gulf War Illness.
